Maybe the following sounds familiar to you:

Sunday, you have a high school youth group meeting.

Monday, you have a Monday Night Chills teen hangout.

Tuesday, you have a young adult gathering.

Wednesday, you have a middle school youth group program.

Thursday — Saturday you plan, pray and maybe have a day off or two. Let’s be honest though, this is ministry, so maybe you just forget or just don’t seem to have the time to take a day off.

And repeat.

Ministry Life can sometimes look like this. Programs pre-organized and very regular. Sometimes it almost feels forced because of the regularity. Often it can start to feel stale, stagnant, like things are just constant but never growing.

For awhile maybe things were going great, you were building the program, and everything was new and exciting.

Now as things begin to balance out to be the normal, how can we break the ministry out of this funk and grow it again? What will make the ministry feel less stale and stagnant?

Let me share with you some advice that I give from my own experience in ministry the past 5 years.
